About Us
Turtle Tuff Coatings was formed to address the needs of residential side of the decorative concrete & hardscape industry. I, Troy Lewis, also own Red Eye Concrete which could be considered my commercial company that services several large corporations & over 50 both, commercial & residential, builders in the Central Florida area, including one builder that we’ve serviced for over 25 years.
We are here to provide the same excellent quality of installations to homeowners that we have provided to our Red Eye Concrete clients since 2007.

The top 2 reasons for coating failures are the following :
Insufficient substrate preparation. All substrates should be prepared for a CSP level number 3 or 4 to insure proper adhesion of coating products to substrate. All substrates should also be cleaned and free of dust from preparations, which is why we use the best grinders, vacuums, & floor scrubbers in the industry.
Certain coatings not breathing properly and allow vapor drive to escape. This is why we test every substrate for moisture levels and vapor drive. We use Wagner meters to test the substrate prior to application of coatings products. We also use a cleaner which neutralizes the PH levels in your substrate which can lead to coatings failure. Testing allows us to detect possible issues and suggest recommendations and solutions to avoid a coatings failure.
80% of all industry failures are due to substandard preparation of your substrate. Most failures after that are due to improper product application and Vapor Drive. Not only do we clean and seal your pavers, but we can rejuvenate your discolored pavers with a Turtle Shot Color Pak to reinvigorate your pavers to a more pleasing color!
